Wall of Fame — Class of 2020

Honoring the Best of the Spartans

John Rosella

North Schuylkill Wall of Fame — Inducted June 2020

After graduating from high school in 1969, Dr. Rosella attended Syracuse University on a full four-year athletic scholarship. He graduated from Syracuse in 1973 and then attended Penn State University as a non-degree graduate student, furthering his education in the sciences. Subsequently, Dr. Rosella pursued his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), earning his Doctor of Osteopathy Degree in 1978. He completed his internship at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan in 1979.

Dr. Rosella returned to Schuylkill County, residing and practicing family medicine in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, for about one year. Subsequently, in 1980, Dr. Rosella was recruited back to Michigan to serve as Director of Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital's satellite family-practice facility in Milford, Michigan. After that facility was sold, Dr. Rosella — along with two other physicians — opened his own practice in Milford, Michigan. He continues to work at that facility, after recently selling to Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Rosella has been practicing family medicine in Michigan for nearly four decades, continuing to combine his interests in conventional and holistic medicine.
