Privacy Statement
North Schuylkill School District respects the privacy of everyone who visits our website. This statement explains what information the website collects and how it is used.
You can view every page without creating an account or telling us who you are. We do not use advertising or visitor-tracking tools such as Google Analytics, and we never sell or share visitor information.
Information We Collect
- Technical information. Like most websites, our web server may automatically record basic information about each visit, such as your internet (IP) address, browser type, and the pages you view. We use it only to keep the website running and secure.
- Information you send us. If you contact us through the Contact page form or by email, we use what you send only to respond to you. The contact form is provided by Google Forms, so your answers are stored by Google for the District.
- Site search. The search on this website runs on our own site. Your search words are not shared with Google or any other company.
Cookies
- Accessibility menu. When you change the font, text size, spacing, or link underlines, your choices are saved in small cookies on your device so they stay the same from page to page. These cookies contain no personal information and expire after 7 days. Select “Reset all” in the accessibility menu, or clear your browser’s cookies, to remove them.
- Other companies. Google and Facebook may set their own cookies when you use the services described below.
Services From Other Companies
- Google Translate. The language menu at the top of each page is provided by Google. To show it, each page loads code from Google, so Google receives basic information such as your IP address. If you choose a language, the page’s text is sent to Google to be translated, and Google saves your language choice in a cookie.
- Facebook. The home page and the Secondary Guidance page show our Facebook posts. Facebook may collect information about people who view them, especially if you are logged in to Facebook.
- Other Google services. The Contact page includes a Google map and a Google Form, and some pages show documents from Google Docs.

Links to Other Websites
Our website links to services run by other organizations, such as the parent portal, Classlink, the cafeteria menu, athletic schedules, and Board Policies. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and the District is not responsible for how they handle information.
Student Privacy
Student records are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Board Policy 216. See Required Notices for your rights. Students may appear in photos on this website and our social media; if you do not want your child photographed, return the Photo Opt-Out Letter and Form (PDF) (Spanish (PDF)).
