Wall of Fame — Class of 2020

Honoring the Best of the Spartans

Gabriel Kamarousky

North Schuylkill Wall of Fame — Inducted June 2020

Graduating from North Schuylkill Jr.-Sr. High School in 1996, Gabe continued his education at Mansfield University while playing, and then later coaching, football. He attained an Associate degree in Radiology Sciences and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business in 2000 and 2001. Gabe has worked in the healthcare field for over 19 years, beginning as an Imaging Technologist working in the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and has advanced through many leadership roles and organizations since.

In 2012, Gabe finished his Masters in Business Administration at Alvernia University and was given the opportunity to take on a leadership position as Director of Business Development and later Vice President of Operations at Schuylkill Health, now Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill. While there, he worked closely with administrative and clinical colleagues to improve operations of a hospital, advance clinical care in the community, and develop as a healthcare leader. During that time, Kamarousky gained experience in plant operations; business development and communications; imaging services; laboratory services; physician practice management; clinical integration; revenue cycles; IT infrastructure; and hospital mergers. Gabe also subsequently achieved the highest healthcare administrative credential as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

In 2018, Gabe was recruited by Geisinger Health System and St. Luke's University Health Network to lead the building and development of Pennsylvania's first jointly owned and joint venture hospital in Orwigsburg — Geisinger St. Luke's. In that role, he successfully managed relations with two multi-billion dollar health networks and oversaw the building of the first hospital to be constructed in Schuylkill County in nearly 90 years. The state-of-the-art facility is the 13th for Geisinger Health System and the 11th for St. Luke's University Health Network. It successfully opened in the fall of 2019 with almost 300 staff members, advanced technologies, and a newly formed Medical Staff offering clinical care closer to the homes of Schuylkill County residents.

Gabe lives with his wife Lynn and two sons, Gabe and Matt, in Cressona. He is active in his local community, serving on the boards of the Schuylkill Economic and Development Corporation (SEDCO), Avenues of Pottsville, and Cressona Area Baseball Association.
