Wall of Fame — Class of 2022

Honoring the Best of the Spartans

Stefanie Mensch Ott

North Schuylkill Wall of Fame — Inducted June 2022

Stefanie Mensch Ott graduated from North Schuylkill in 1998. She attended Lycoming College and graduated in 2002 with a degree in nursing and biology. She then attended the University of Scranton and graduated in 2005 with a Master's Degree in nurse anesthesia. She has been working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist since 2005. Her current place of employment is St. Luke's University Health Network. She was also an associate professor at the University of Scranton in the nurse anesthesia program from 2009 to 2014.

She has four children — Madeline, Liliana, Zachary, and Carly — all involved in youth soccer and basketball. Her greatest pleasure in life is watching her children grow and succeed in their endeavors.

In March and April 2020, one of her greatest privileges as a nurse was to travel to Queens, NY and help out during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She took on several roles during her time there — from triaging patients in the Emergency Room, to managing ventilated patients in the ICU, to serving as the hospital phlebotomist when members of the phlebotomy staff were infected with COVID. She described it as a truly rewarding and humbling experience. On her off days she worked at St. Luke's caring for COVID patients both in the operating room and ICU.

According to Ms. Ott, "My time at North Schuylkill has helped prepare and guide me for many of life's obstacles to grow and succeed. I was given a solid foundation at NS for which to grow on. Many of the friendships I made at my time at NS are still as strong as they were during my high school career. My Mom, Dianne Mensch, still works at NS and she and my father have also been a big support for me."
