Dr. Robert Bricker
North Schuylkill Wall of Fame — Inducted June 2022
Dr. Bricker is a retired Staff Anesthesiologist and Medical Director for Lehigh Anesthesia Associates, Allentown, PA. He graduated from North Schuylkill in 1981 as the Valedictorian. He graduated from Albright College with a B.S. in Biology in 1985 and a D.O. from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989.
While at North Schuylkill, he was the Vice-President of the National Honor Society, played football, and was on the Track and Field Team for four years. He was a member of the Marching Band, District Band, Pit Band, Mixed Chorus, and District Chorus. He was President of the IU 29 Youth Traffic Safety Council, a Lifeguard, a Swim Instructor, and an Eagle Scout.
During his college days at Albright College, he was a member of the Track and Field Team for three years, worked as a phlebotomist, and student-interned with practicing physicians.
Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Bricker worked as a Staff Anesthesiologist for Good Samaritan Hospital, then at Lehigh Anesthesia Associates and Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic. He has been a lecturer at the National Association of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Bricker joined Lehigh Anesthesia Associates in 2002 and provided nearly twenty years of dedicated service — not only personally providing anesthetics to literally thousands of patients in Schuylkill County, but also in various other areas of central and eastern Pennsylvania. He served as Medical Director for many of those years and as the Director of Anesthesia Services for numerous ambulatory surgery centers. He was respected by his colleagues and loved by his patients.
Personally, Dr. Bricker is the son of Donald M. Bricker and Catherine Bricker. The North Schuylkill Swimming Pool was named after his father — The Donald Bricker Natatorium — for his years of service to the students at North Schuylkill. Dr. Bricker currently resides in Pottsville with his wife of 32 years, Dr. Marylou Rainone. He is the father of Lucas Donald Bricker and Corinne Patrice Bricker. Dr. Bricker is a two-time cancer survivor and is presently in remission.
