Born in Ashland, PA, he is the son of Attorney Anthony Joseph Urban and Susan Irene Urban, RN. He attended North Schuylkill School District along with his siblings Anthony ("Tony") Urban, Christopher Urban, and Kathryn Suzanne (Urban) Duggan. At North Schuylkill Jr/Sr High School, he was Junior Class President and Salutatorian in 1989. He graduated summa cum laude from Lehigh University in 1993 with a BS in Finance and earned his JD and LLM from Temple University School of Law. Licensed in NJ and PA, he practiced law in Philadelphia for over a decade and received multiple Rising Star recognitions. Now, he practices at the Law Offices of Anthony Urban in Schuylkill County, specializing in personal injury, workers compensation, social security disability, zoning, school law, real estate, business law, and estate planning.

He serves as vice president of the Schuylkill County Bar Association and solicitor to North Schuylkill School District. Active in community service, he volunteers and provides pro bono legal services, serves on the board of the Schuylkill County YMCA, and coaches youth sports. Currently residing in the Ashland area, he enjoys sports, the outdoors, and is a father of three children attending North Schuylkill School District.
