Dr. Amy Wetzel Doolan
North Schuylkill Wall of Fame — Inducted June 2019
Amy graduated from North Schuylkill in 1996 while earning an athletic scholarship to play women's basketball at Virginia Tech. There she served as team captain and earned GTE Academic All-American honors, was named an ACC Legend, and was inducted into the VT Sports Hall of Fame.
Dr. Wetzel Doolan completed her internship in Family Medicine at the Virginia Tech Carilion Family Medicine Residency in Roanoke, VA, where she was named Intern of the Year. She completed her residency training in 2010, serving as chief resident.
She is currently an attending physician at Carilion Clinic Virginia Tech Carilion Family Medicine Residency, living with her husband Keith and their children Parker and Maudie.
