Robert J. Ackell, Ed.D. — Superintendent
I am a proud alumnus of North Schuylkill School District. I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with teacher certification from The Pennsylvania State University. I received a Master of Education in Administrative Leadership from Drexel University with principal certification and also completed my Education Doctoral studies in Educational Leadership and Management through Drexel University where I received my Superintendent letter of eligibility.
My professional career in education began at the Line Mountain School District as a Health and Physical Education teacher and an athletic coach. I then spent time in the West Shore School District working as an Athletic Director at Red Land High School, an Assistant Principal at Cedar Cliff High School and a Principal at Allen Middle School.
Family is an important part of my life. I am married and have two children.
As an educator, I am dedicated to providing our students the opportunity for academic success, as well as, a firm foundation to build on in the future. I have been an educator for the past ten years, and I am always amazed each year at the creativity, intellect and dedication our students display both in and out of school. I firmly believe that every student has something special to offer, and by utilizing their unique talents they will help our school and community excel.
I thank you for your time as I pursue my professional goals and the opportunity to return back to the Spartan community as Superintendent of Schools.
