Wall of Fame — Class of 2026

Honoring the Best of the Spartans

Andrew Welker

North Schuylkill Wall of Fame — Inducted June 2026

Andrew J. Welker grew up in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, where he discovered an early passion for business and entrepreneurship. A proud graduate of the North Schuylkill High School Class of 1999, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree in business administration from Bloomsburg University. Shortly after college, Andrew channeled his ambitions into real estate, purchasing his very first investment property in Hershey, Pennsylvania, at just 23 years old. Today, Andrew resides in Texas, balancing his massive professional footprint with a dedication to personal growth and family. Outside the boardroom, he lives an adventurous life as a helicopter pilot, boat captain, advanced scuba diver, and avid fly fisherman. Guided by a belief in thoughtful wealth stewardship and lasting social impact, he actively mentors aspiring entrepreneurs and is an invited member of the exclusive global peer network, Tiger 21.

In 2008, amid the peak of the national housing recession, Andrew co-founded New Western Acquisitions. Recognizing strategic opportunities in a down market, he served as Chief Executive Officer for the majority of his nine-year tenure, driving national expansion and scaling the firm into one of the largest home-buying organizations in the country with over 12,000 distressed properties purchased, valued at more than $2 billion. Building on this monumental success, he founded Welker Properties in 2018, a Dallas-based real estate development firm specializing in multifamily acquisitions and build-to-rent communities. As CEO, he has led high-impact revitalizations and major land transformations across the country, including Wolf Creek Farms and Cedar Creek in Texas, as well as the Burnt Store development in Florida. In 2024, he further revolutionized the industry by launching Prophet Homes, an innovative marketplace connecting investors with renovation-ready properties.

Believing that enduring success is rooted in people-first leadership, Andrew has dedicated a massive portion of his career to global philanthropy and affordable housing advocacy. In 2017, he established The Welker Foundation, a charitable organization that channels all of its profits directly to Habitat for Humanity to support affordable housing initiatives. His impact also reaches internationally through his board seat at Ubuntu Life, a social enterprise in Kenya that provides vital medical care, therapy, and inclusive employment for families of children with special needs. Andrew is currently spearheading a major expansion of the Ubuntu Life campus in Kenya, which includes developing a brand-new sports facility in direct partnership with Nike. Through both his visionary business platforms and profound charitable works, Andrew remains a tireless champion for creating meaningful, inclusive opportunities for communities worldwide.
