+ Junior Senior High School Celebrates CFF with Flip the Switch Event

North Schuylkill JSHS showcased its Classrooms For the Future equipment and its use in our junior senior high school during a “Flip the Switch” event on May 9th.  The $200,260 state grant has allowed our district to equip 33 classrooms with interactive whiteboards, projectors, student and teacher laptops, scanners and a variety of multimedia technology including video and digital cameras.

Schools Reaping High Tech Rewards

+Seventh Grade/High School Orientation
Welcome, Class of 2014 to North Schuylkill Jr/Sr high School. An orientation for all seventh grade students and their parents/guardians will be held on Thursday, August 21st, 2008 from 1PM to 3PM. All seventh grade students as well as a parent/guardian are encouraged to attend.
+ 2007-2008 PSSA Student Results Mailed
Student Math, Reading and Writing results from the 2007-2008 PSSA exams were mailed the week of June 16-20. If you did not receive your results or if you need assistance interpreting the scores, contact the Office of Curriculum, Technology and Federal programs at 874-0466, extension 1173.
+ North Schuylkill’s FBLA Members Shine at State Competition
FBLA members from across the state competed in academic events and participated in many other activities at the FBLA State Leadership Conference held at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey. Five North Schuylkill FBLA chapter members earned the right to compete at the state competition by placing in the top three of their respective events at regional FBLA competition held at Bloomsburg University. Advancing to the "states'" were (front row, from left) Travis Brown, Technology Concepts; Ryan Fucci, Business Calculations; (back row) David Pearson, CyberSecurity; Jim Dudish, Networking Concepts; and Justin Bova, Computer Problem Solving.

North Schuylkill's FBLA state competitors

Three students placed in the top ten of their individual events:  Justin Bova 10th place, David Pearson 8th place, and Jim Dudish, 1st place! As the state champion Jim qualified to compete at the FBLA National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia this summer.
